PRESIDENT AND CEO

Scott Alexander

Scott Alexander is the President and CEO of The Frederick Alliance for Youth, Inc. which was incorporated in March.  For the Past 18 years, Scott has worked with youth in a professional capacity at three different non-profit organizations in Frederick County.
Scott was born and raised in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School in 1983.  He graduated  with honors from James Madison University with a degree in psychology in 1987.  He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in psychology from Boston College in 2000.

Scott is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Frederick but prior to that was a member of the Lions Club of Frederick for 16 years – serving one term as President and 6 years as the Fundraising Chair.  He serves on the Local Management Board of Frederick which is a local extension of the Governor’s Office for Children and advises the Frederick County Office for Children and Families.  Additionally, Scott continues to teach a martial arts class for youth that he started 20 years ago and he serves as the Chair of the Junior Golf Committee at Beaver Creek Country Club.

Scott currently resides in Hagerstown with his wife, Cathy and their two children, Sydney and Paxton.
